All guild events will be posted and led by an appointed raid leader. If you are not a raid leader and would like to run an event, you have a few options. You can either - A) Check with a raid leader and have them run it for you, B ) Drop me a line and "apply" to be a raid leader, or C) Post a request in the "Operation Clean Sweep" thread, which is explained below.
Right now, the plan is that we will aim to have 2 nights a week where we do something as a guild. On these nights, we will be using the DKP system to record attendance and loot. As the guild levels up and we come across more "raid" type content, we plan to increase the number of scheduled raid nights each week, but I don't expect us to raid more than 3 or 4 times a week.
We will also have 2 scheduled nights a week where the focus is on setting up pre-arranged hunting groups to help our members level up. The two hunting nights will rotate around a little to make it easier for everyone to make it to some of them. Hunting nights are totally voluntary, and DKP will not be taken for these. Again, as the guild levels up, we will eventually reduce the number of "group" nights to accomodate the increase in "raid" nights.
One night will be designated "Operation Clean Sweep." Clean Sweep is a night focused on member requests for guild help. There will be a running thread where people can post requests for help with anything. I'll choose in advance which requests we will target for upcoming Clean Sweep nights, and if we can, we'll try to knock out many requests by lumping together similar requests and planning quick strikes of multiple targets. DKP will be used for taking attendance and awarding any loot dropped along the way.
Events will be posted in advance. Please make sure to use the sign up function for events, and if you plan to be late or leave early, make sure to note that. Signing up in advance is important for several reasons, but in short, if you don't sign up, there's a good chance you won't be able to get in on a scheduled event.
If you are coming to a raid, be on time, and if there are certain things that you are expected to have (potions, spell components, resist items) make sure to bring them.
If you need assistance getting to the meeting point, make sure to arrange for it in advance (Caravans, etc). Events are prescheduled, so if you won't be on during the day, do your traveling the night before and camp at or close to the meeting spot. Start time is fixed, and we won't wait for latecomers.
Each raid will have a raid leader and a loot officer. In addition, each group will have a group leader, who is responsible for fielding questions from group members and for reporting any AFK's and LD's in their group.
Make sure to practice all good raiding basics. Make sure to assist the MA, be sharp in your positioning, don't spam raid chat, and always follow the raid leader's instructions.
Bottom line is that everyone is expected to be sharp, attentive, polite, and to follow the raid leader's commands at all times. Being on the same page means less wasted time trying to correct raid issues, and that means more time to have fun!
